Every time we post about another weekend in the mountains, someone asks, “What do you guys use?” So here it is, all in one place. This is the stuff Papa Bear, the pups, and I actually pack up and haul out every time we escape reality. Nothing fancy, just the things that make camp feel like home.
Sleeping
Purple Mattress
Welcome to the Purple Den. After a long day of riding, crawling into this bed feels pretty damn close to heaven. Fair warning: you may never want to get out of bed again.
My Cozy Blanket
Cold mountain mornings call for curling up under this with a hot cup of coffee. It goes on every single trip.
Camp Kitchen
Coffee
Mama Bear does not function without her morning coffee. Crisp air, hot coffee, and loving on the pups is how every camp morning should start.
On the Trail
Papa Bear’s Android Tablet
This is what we load our routes onto, like the MTBDR, so Papa Bear can guide us through the mountains. Getting the route on it took some Googling and cussing, but it’s been worth it.
For the Pups
Back Seat Extender for the Pups
Our girls ride their little hearts out in the back of the SxS, ears flapping in the wind. This seat extender protects our seats and gives the dogs more room to move around, which makes a big difference on those long days, even our 200-mile one.
We’ll keep adding to this list as we find new favorites. Want to see this gear in action? Check out our latest adventures on the blog. 🏕️
